How to increase web app performance better

Some of developers met many problems before, during and after development web application. One of problems that they met after development web application is their web application bad performance. There are a few methods to increase web app performance better is listed below:

1. Application Cache

What is Application Cache?
HTML5 introduces application cache, which means that a web application is cached, and accessible without an internet connection.

Application cache gives an application three advantages:

Offline browsing - users can use the application when they're offline
Speed - cached resources load faster
Reduced server load - the browser will only download updated/changed resources from the server

USE:
<html manifest="minify.appcache">

CACHE MANIFEST (this one is required as it say that file is a cache)

How The Mobile Affected The Way We Do Business

The pre-iPhone smartphones might not have been that smart, but the idea of checking e-mail from a mobile phone has always been promising. Now we have powerful productivity tools in our pockets, countless services in the mobile ecosystem, and the whole world is just a touch away from us. These things seem like great conditions for doing business, and it's really so. The mobile has irreversibly affected business in general. We can say there's more good than bad to it, but anyway, how did it exactly happen?

Quick To Rise, Quick To Fall

Not so long ago it could take a lot of time to start and build a prosperous business. It used to take lots of extra efforts to make it grow on the international area. Now it may take as little time as possible for a startup to make or break. Businesses now have a foothold called mobile marketing, which reaches out for potential clientele around the world. Now everything is sped up. Every personal mania of being super-productive pushes the whole business ahead.

Welcome To The Cloud

Modern business is all about the cloud, which saves lots of time, and also contributes to the fast pace of growing. Cloud-dependent mobile apps and devices, centralized data storing and task management, instant access from anywhere on Earth - various functions and opportunities given by the cloud are an absolute must. Once distance was an insurmountable obstacle for business, now outsourcing is transparent and efficient, locating your employees has never been easier, and everything can be tracked, if your business has the right tools for that. And the tools, such as Microsoft's Office 365, are provided as services for monthly fees. Such solutions lay all the technical issues upon the shoulders of service providers, which again means convenience for businesses.

Expectations Have Changed

Speeding up couldn't leave client and employer expectations unchanged. When there was no mobile worldwide connectivity, waiting was a norm. Now in the business world, waiting for an answer concerning an urgent matter for more than an hour is unheard of. We also shouldn't forget that many people have to solve business problems during their free time, since we are constantly connected to the Internet (read: connected to work). This means many employees (especially those who occupy high positions) are expected to answer an urgent call, being at home or on a vacation.

Apart from the companies' internal relations, there are client expectations, which are nonetheless important and must be treated in a different way, not like it used to be. Your clients want your response immediately. What they want, must be there in a while. On the other hand, adhering to the rule of being quick to respond is rewarding for any business or any singled out professional.

Bring Your Own Device

Unlike PCs, mobile devices are very personal items, and it's much more convenient for each of us to use our own device for business purposes. The BYOD issue has been discussed numerous times, along with its security risks. But thought-out use, along with mobile devices and platforms getting more secure, actually works. There is encryption in secure communication means and remote wipe software for that.

The Thin Line Between Home And Work

Once everything was simple: there was home, which meant family and friends, and there was work, which meant colleagues and clients. Now the line between is becoming thinner and blurred out, since our life is easily tracked on social networks. Our personal information and photos on Facebook and Google+, our tweets and posts can be easily read by our employers or clients. Not everyone dares stick to the 'be yourself' principle, and many people try to look professional at all times.

The mobile hasn't touched just the business aspect, it has completely reorganized our daily routine, and our lives in general. For businesses these changes are largely positive, but for every individual, from an ordinary employee to a CEO, some of them may be rather tiring. These are just five directions out of the massive wind of change brought by mobile technologies, and if your business manages to incorporate high efficiency and employee satisfaction, it's done right.

What’s the best mobile solution for you?

By comparing the content that your users are accessing via desktop, mobile, and tablet, you'll gain insights into which implementation will best suit your business. In today’s post, we’ll look at the three most common ways of doing this. We’ll explore building a responsively designed site, dynamic serving solutions, and lastly, a separate mobile site.

1.Responsive Web Design (RWD):
A responsively built site automatically rearranges and resizes content to fit the screen of any device used to access the site.

2.Dynamic Serving of Content:
Another solution is to dynamically serve content. Similar to RWD, with this approach the web server detects the type of device the visitor is using and presents a custom page on the same URL.

3.Separate Mobile Site:
The final implementation you might want to consider is creating a separate mobile site, where smartphone users will be directed to a mobile-optimized version of your site.

Gmail update: Reach more people you know

Ever wanted to email someone you know, but haven't yet exchanged email addresses? Starting this week, when you're composing a new email, Gmail will suggest your Google+ connections as recipients, even if you haven't exchanged email addresses yet.
How it works with email addresses
Emailing Google+ connections works a bit differently to protect the privacy of email addresses. Your email address isn't visible to your Google+ connections until you send them an email, and their email addresses are not visible to you until they respond.
Receiving email from people outside your circles
If you receive an email from someone outside your circles, it will be filtered into the Social category of the inbox (if enabled) and only after you respond or add them to your circles, can they start another conversation with you.
How to control who can contact you
You're in control of whether people can reach you with a new setting in Gmail on the desktop. To learn more, check out the Help Center.

Telerik Survey HTML5 vs. Native vs. Hybrid Mobile Apps – 3500 Developers Prefer All Three

Recently, a survey has been conducted among HTML5 vs. Native vs. hybrid mobile applications, but approximately 3500 developers are looking for all these three technologies to proceed with. In this blog, I have provided in-depth information about this survey and its results, so continue reading to get more information…
Commonly, the debate leads the first application store in order to hit the volume; however, various respondents call for a mobile application strategy, which gives choice between HTML5, Native and Hybrid. One of the most popular application development tools and solutions providers for cross-platform and mobile applications “Telerik” declared the results of its latest Mobile application development survey.

The title of the survey is “The HTML5 vs. Native Debate is Over. The Winner is…,” the survey was conducted in October 2013 and surveyed approximately 3500 respondents from across the world, who are ranging from developers to CTOs to CIOs. It is quite different than last year when more than 94% of developers were betting on HTML5 to win.
Actually, you can find 40% of developers, who have already started developing native, only to switch to HTML5 and 31% have started developing cross-platform in order to switch on native. Todd Anglin, an EVP at cross-platform development toolmaker Telerik, said “Developers are quickly realizing that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution for their mobile development process”. He also added “The choice between native and hybrid approaches is dependent on business needs, app requirements, developer skill, development timeline, and other factors.”
There are many developers, who are going for pure HTML5 rather than native, with approximately 41% of developers are developing cross-platform applications rather than native applications, increase from 36% in January 2013. Along with it, there is huge drop in the number of developers, who are developing pure native, all the time: eight percent, down from 15 percent earlier this year.
However, you would find various developers, who are still using hybrid development methods along with some native apps built with HTML5 code, some apps built in pure cross-platform code, some built with native components with shared and more. At this time, one of the major questions is whether HTML5 that can be used to build application-like interactivity as well as capability into a web-native format, is enterprise-ready or not.
According to Telerik, the answer of this question is that a complete third of developers says it is, but a quarter of developers’ say it will be in the next 12 month. A big portion of developers – 43% say that HTML5 is not an enterprise ready before at least a year. And rest one – 6% says it never will be enterprise ready.
The (91%) respondents of this survey said that they are already developing using HTML technology with more projects ongoing to desktop compare to mobile. And 53% of respondents said that HTML5 is one of the best ways to go multi-platform while it also has the advantage of being web-native. Among all the respondents, only 4% of developers are developing for iOS only and 13% are simultaneously developing native apps for all of the web, iOS, and Android.
“When considered in context, we are seeing plenty of cases where hybrid is the right choice for a given app, and others where native still makes the most sense, said Todd Anglin, an EVP at cross-platform development toolmaker Telerik. “What developers need, then, are tools that can help them be effective, regardless of the chosen approach.”
